About Jan's Doll Boutique

Jan and Don are partners in life and in business. In their company, Jan's Doll Boutique, they design, create and sell clothes for 11 1/2" dolls. The business grew out of Jan's appreciation for crafts and Don's background in retailing.

It all began in 1980 when their daughter received her first Barbie™ doll. Just for fun, Jan began designing outfits for the doll and before long her daughter's little friends were bringing scraps of material for outfits for their dolls. Things progressed when a friend suggested that Jan take her doll clothes to a craft show. Response was terrific and that was all it took to give them the incentive to turn a hobby into a business.

The fashions are Jan's original designs, with wedding gowns being her specialty. Bridesmaid gowns, ball gowns and seasonal outfits are also favorites among her customers. Jan's Doll Boutique offers their customers a quality product at a reasonable price. They feel, "When people are willing to pay for something you made, it is the highest compliment you can receive."
